Commission a Legacy

A commission is an investment in a future heirloom. Susan’s aim is to create a lasting legacy for her customers that tells their story.

Bespoke creations

Working in gold and platinum, Susan creates instantly recognisable statement jewellery. She sources rare and unusual gemstones, often finding the specific stone that resonates with the client’s vision. These are powerful, strong pieces designed to be passed down to daughters and granddaughters.

The workshop has created bespoke jewellery for many well known customers over the years including designers such as Jasper Conran and Liberty of London. We also have our jewellery on The Royal Scotsman train, the Orient Express and in The British Museum. There are many a happy customer with whom we have had the privilege of making one off pieces for, not least, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Commission stories

The Shoreline Proposal
The Shoreline Proposal
There is something incredibly romantic about a proposal that happens spontaneously in the beauty of nature. For Gillian and David, a simple walk along our local coastline turned into a life-changing moment, proving that the best stories often begin with the most humble of treasures.
The Secret Sapphire
The Secret Sapphire
Creating a surprise engagement ring is always an honour, but it becomes even more special when the bride-to-be has unknowingly already chosen her perfect stone. This was exactly the case when Callum approached me to design a bespoke piece for his partner, Morag.
Generations Entwined
Generations Entwined
Bespoke jewellery isn't always about starting from scratch; often, it’s about breathing new life into a cherished family heirloom. When Calum approached me to design a ring for his fiancée, Lauren, he brought with him a piece of family history: his mother’s gold wedding ring.
The Royal Scotsman Silver
The Royal Scotsman Silver
It is always a privilege to work with iconic Scottish brands, and few are as synonymous with luxury and heritage as the Royal Scotsman. I was commissioned to design a suite of bespoke silver accessories that captured the prestige of one of the world’s most famous luxury trains.

REMODELLING stories

The Twenty-Year Archive
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a long-established jeweller is the ability to revisit my own work decades later. When Morven called me about remodelling a sapphire and diamond ring, it sparked a lovely trip down memory lane, as I had originally made her interlocking wedding ring over twenty years ago.
The Family Heirloom
Every so often, a project comes along that feels like assembling a sparkling jigsaw puzzle of a family’s history. Vicky entrusted me with a collection of her most precious family treasures, sending a package that contained inherited diamond rings, old gold pieces, a grandfather’s diamond tie stud, and even a gold watch chain.
The Platinum Duo
For many, an engagement and wedding ring set is the most worn item in their wardrobe, but over time, tastes and lifestyles change. Joan visited the studio for a consultation to discuss giving her original rings a completely new lease of life through a modern remodelling process.
The 1969 Keepsake
Remodelling jewellery is often about more than just aesthetics; it is an act of preservation. When Laura reached out via email, she didn’t just send photos of jewellery; she sent a piece of her family history. Alongside images of her mother’s engagement and interlocking eternity bands, she included a copy of the original receipt from 1969—a poignant reminder of the moment her parents' journey began.
